I often express my love for nature through the flowers. The flowers are a marvelous colorful subject to paint.
But the flowers can also be symbolic, not only ornamental. At times in the images that I paint I recognize the secrets of my heart.
It is instinctive to see a flower and to smell it. The painted flowers have no perfume but can evoke it.
A Tagore poetry says: 'The land returns in flowers the kisses of the rain from the sky'.
For us a big earthly gift, delight for the eyes and nose.
